Fourth Week: A Week of Dissapointments and Achievements

     The 4th week was filled with sad moments that turned into happines. As The Ranch released the final results of those who passed the screening, I immediately looked at the braodcasting part of the post. Looking at the post, i felt sad as i wasn't chosen to be part of the broadcasting team. I didn't expected to be chosen but that was the first time that i wasn't chosen, cause ever since i tried to join such things, I was always chosen. But I told to myself that there's still many opportunities that awaits me. 

     When I was informed that thee will be screeing for the committees of every organization, I immediately joined the screening. I first joined GAS Organization, since my strand is GAS. I was really hoping and confident that I would pass the screening because I think I made an impressive project proposal and one of my class who is an officer of that organization cheered already even the results wasn't announced yet. But when the results was announced, I felt a bit of shock because my name wasn't called. My classmate who is an officer of that organization immediatley complained because the name that was announced was wrong but the adviser of the organization said that the named that was announced was correct. After the announcement we head back to our own elective subject and after the class we had a discussion. One of our classmates told us that the grading system of the screening was rigged by the officer. He told me that I my should be the one who was announced cause i got 87 percent and the other one got 83. I was shocked and didn't expected that cause they cheated. But I'm still proud of myself because I can do things that i haven't done before. 

     Later that week, I joined a club again and it was SHS Mother English Club. Same process, i just wrote a project proposal and passed it to the officers. The results was then posted and I saw my name on it. I was so happy that after experiencing being rigged, I still got the chance to be part of an organization. 

     On Thursday, we had our final practice  to get ready for our Lapay Bantigue dance performance.  When it was time for our PE class, the teacher wasn't there because she had a meeting. So, the class and our PE teacher decided to just record the performance ourselves. We filmed the videos in front of the library, and it was a lot of fun. After our video performance, we were relieved a little bit cause our school works were reduced.

        In conlusion, the 4th week was full of ups and downs, with moments of both disappointment and achievement. Through these experiences, I learned that setbacks don’t define me, but my ability to rise above them and keep pushing forward does.
